Prof. dr. Gediminas Navaitis, Head of the Research Hub ALEA
From 1979 to 1998 he worked as a senior research fellow at the Institute of Pedagogical Research From 1979 to 2008 he was the head of the psychological consultation “Marriage” and worked as an associate professor at Mykolas Romeris University.
From 2008 to 2012 he was a member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, working in the Committee on Health Affairs.
Since 2012, he has worked as a professor at Mykolas Romeris University, leading the lottery and gambling research group and consulting psychologist.
He is currently a professor at Vytautas Magnus University and head of the research hub Alea.
Author of 39 books (in Lithuanian and foreign languages) and numerous articles on science and science popularisation.
Mission
Improve the quality of risk research, promote discussion on risk management issues among professionals, educate the public, and organise trainings to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent addictions.
